The Berth by the Cove Swimming Lessons
The Berth by the Cove was the first condominium completed in Sentosa Cove, with 200 units in fifteen low-rise blocks along Ocean Drive. Its swimming pool and wading pool sit within a low-density estate, which gives private swimming lessons a quieter setting than most Singapore condominiums.

About the pools at The Berth by the Cove
The wading pool is where babies, toddlers and beginner children start. The main pool is used for kicking drills and stroke practice once a swimmer can float and glide. The coach confirms the usable straight distance at the first lesson and adapts drills to it, which matters more for adults training lengths than for beginners.
Pool details are as published by the development and may change. We do not have standing access to The Berth by the Cove; lessons depend on your access as a resident, the condominium's rules and coach availability.
Who lessons at The Berth by the Cove are for
The Berth has a mix of long-term owner families and tenants. Enquiries are typically for pre-school and primary-age children, and for adults who never learned to swim properly and now live beside the water. The estate's low-rise layout means the pool is rarely crowded during weekday lessons.
Kids swimming lessons at The Berth by the Cove
Children's lessons at The Berth follow a simple progression: comfort in the water, breathing control, floating on front and back, kicking, then freestyle and backstroke. Breaststroke and survival skills follow. Lessons are 1-to-1 or shared between siblings, usually 45 minutes to one hour.
Adult swimming lessons at The Berth by the Cove
Adults who live at The Berth often want to feel safe on and around the marina. Lessons cover floating, treading water, breathing and a relaxed freestyle or breaststroke. Confident swimmers use lessons to refine technique so that laps become easier and more enjoyable.
Lesson formats available
Every format is taught at your pool by the same coach each week. Larger classes are not run at residential pools.

How lessons at The Berth by the Cove work
Access and pool rules
Lessons depend on your resident access. You register the coach as a guest under The Berth's visitor procedure, and the coach follows the posted pool rules. Please confirm any policy on external instructors with the management office before your first lesson. We are not connected to the development.
Coach matching
Tell us the swimmer's age, experience and your preferred days. We match a coach whose experience fits, for example a coach used to toddlers, a female coach for ladies' lessons, or a coach experienced with autism. The same coach teaches every week so progress is consistent. Read about our swimming coaches in Sentosa.
Weather
The pool is outdoors. Lightning risk pauses the lesson at once; if conditions do not clear the lesson is rescheduled rather than rushed. Light rain without lightning does not usually stop a lesson.
The Berth by the Cove: lesson questions
Is the pool at The Berth long enough for adult lap training?
It is suitable for technique work and moderate lap sets. Adults who want long continuous distances may prefer occasional sessions at a 50-metre pool, which the coach can advise on.
Can a grandparent supervise my child's lesson?
Yes. Any responsible adult authorised to be at the pool can accompany a child. For children under about three, that adult joins the child in the water.
How many lessons will my child need?
Most beginners aged four to seven need several months of weekly lessons to swim independently. Progress depends on age, confidence and practice between lessons.
